Match report

Swan Garnets played Fareham Fireflys. We were the stronger team from the start taking a quick lead. We did this by using direct passing and dodging. After the first quarter our team chat ended with a change to WA. The second quarter started the game moved quickly with lots of goals our end. However, we could have used more front cuts like we’d been doing in training; we also need to look for both shooters in the D.

Half-time we only changed our GK and GD, the team stayed strong and working well together. As the third quarter started the team started to use more dodges which lead to more goals. The defensive side were making interceptions and holding of the opposition, sometimes though we would make silly mistakes.

Before the last quarter, we made changes to WD, GD, GK and GA, GS. We had a different team to see how each combination worked. We really started to use all our channels and front cut in the last quarter, we kept making great interception making the end score 33-8 to Swan Garnets. As a team we all worked really hard throughout the game, we found our confidence it was great to be a part of, well done girls. In the end Amy was the player of the match which was very well deserved.

Thank you to our coach Jenni Robinson.
