U13 Swan topaz v Weston Park Blades

An excellent start to the first quarter for Swan, quickly getting to 4.3 ahead. However, WPB soon to found their stride and Swan could not respond , ending the 1st quarter WPB ahead 12-4.
A great start for Swan in the 2nd quarter, getting 5 goals in a row, then WPB began to counter attack, but this time Swan were able to respond , scoring the last two goals, and winning the quarter 10-8 , score at half time 20-14 .
In the third quarter WPB started strongly, but swan fought back, however WPB continued to extend their lead once more. However, with excellent defending Swan were able to come back to score the last goal of the 3rd quarter. Score now 31-20.
The first goal of the final quarter came from Swan, WPB tried to come back, but this time our excellent defending kept them from scoring in their circle, WPB had met their match! Our success lead to great play up the court,and quickly to 2 goals and more, the WPB lead closing to just 6 goals.A final goal from WPB meant the final score was WPB 37- Swan 30, but swan won the 4th quarter 10-6 and if only time had allowed were ready to go on and win the match! What a performance!
