It certainly feels like winter but that hasn't stopped the team performing with a spring in its step lately. Another cold day drew an eerily similar score line to last week, when the girls lost 45-40. The first quarter came close to matching last week's game too, as the opposition raced into the lead only for the Swans to pull back and move ahead.
But this was a more dominant performance, even in defeat. The girls led at the end of the first and second quarters and, even when Ageas won the third quarter, the girls still seemed to be the stronger team overall. Ageas took control in the final quarter, much like Dreams did last week, but the girls oozed confidence at times, and points are there to be won. With one more game before Christmas, against the team we beat on the first day of the season, there are plenty of reasons to hope that 2019 will end on a high note.
