Aqua started their 2019 campaign with a very tough and competetive match against Garnets.
The first quarter saw both teams battling for possession but equally struggling to keep it. Aqua led 4-2 at the end of Q1, and managed to extend their lead to 4 at the end of Q2. The younger Swans appeared to find more rhythm in Q3 extending their lead to 7 goals by the end of Q3. However, Garnets fought back in the last quarter and with only 3 minutes left on the clock, they had pulled it back to just a 2 goal deficit.
Aqua held their nerve and scored another 3 goals in the remaining minutes handing them a win with the final score at 19 - 14.
Excellent defensive play by all players, and credit to Garnets for a great game.
Many thanks to supporters and coaches.
