Fareham Fireflies

Rubies travelled to Fareham college for the first away match off the development league.
A nervous start with a few errors but 8-7 to Swan at the end of quarter 1.
A small change in mid court and the girls settled into the match, pulling ahead a 5 goal lead, 21-16.
After half time, and a few more changes, Fareham came out fighting and closed the gap again, leaving Swan only 2 goals ahead 29-27.
The final quarter nearly gave all the spectators and team officials a heart attack, as Fareham dug deep, took advantage of Swan's errors and pulled ahead 34-33, with only couple of minutes left, Swan showed them what they can do, with fantastic shooting from Carrie and Lucy, brilliant defence with Daisy and Marieanne intercepting and turning the ball over securing the 44-36 win to Swan.
