Most of the Swan Gold squad met at the ‘Back to Netball’ sessions at River Park Leisure Centre in 2009. Reigniting their love of netball after many years and many children, they decided to form a team and Jilly kindly asked them to join Swan, so Swan Gold was born.

They play in the Margaret Whittaker and Spring / Summer weekday leagues. Having worked their way up through the divisions – making it through to the playoffs each year where they have been runners-up on numerous occasions – they are now playing in the Upper Section.

A really friendly team, Swan Gold has welcomed new players over the years who have become valued members of the squad. They love their time together and work hard to maintain their fitness, learn new tactics and skills in the hope of winning a title soon!
