Final game of the season for Hampshire 2

Our final game of the season saw us take on a very strong Jets team who have won 11/13 games so far this season.
We started strong in the first few minutes winning 7-2 - it took Jets a while to switch on and we took advantage of that with turnovers and converting to goal. Jets soon switched on and levelled the game out with first quarter ending 10-12 to Jets.
Second quarter was well contested from both teams and the game was becoming more physical in both circles. Attacking play was patient and defensive pressure all down court resulted in turnovers. Second quarter ending 24-21 to Jets.
Onto the third quarter and a few changes in attack. We continued to be patient in attack and worked the ball down court well, defensively we created pressure but couldn’t always score off the turnover with a few lose balls not making it to circle. Jets started to pull away with a 7 goal lead at the end of the 3rd.
Going into the 4th quarter - we were playing some great netball and just wanted to finish the game off well for the last game of the season. The 4th quarter was pretty evenly matched with both teams going goal for goal, few pressure turnovers created and were able to convert to lessen the gap to 6 goals. Swan winning the final quarter by 1 but it wasn’t enough and final score 50-44 to Jets.
For our last game of the season we played really well, from the last time we played them we scored 6 more goals and let in 12 less so a huge improvement.
This season has been a great season for this team, the improvement since the start of the season, the hard work in training and coaching from Nic has really made this season an awesome one.
