The Jets v Hampshire 2

Swan toughed it out today against The Jets, having only lost 1 of their matches this season, we knew it’d be a hard game. With head Coach Nic recovering from illness, Jenny stepped up as coach and player.
In Q1, Swan held their own with Jets leading 2 goals the difference by the end of the quarter, a score we were not expecting but knew we were highly capable of.

Following on from the 1st quarter, Swan continued to work hard, focussing on defence down court - since the Jets had a height advantage in both ends. The defensive pressure against Jets was prevalent from our Swan team, with every single player putting in to practice what we’ve been working on in training. The score still being very tight at 25–21 in the 2nd quarter.

A few changes were made during the 3Q from both sides and the ball didn’t seem to be in Swans favour. A few shots missed and a couple of unforced errors saw Jets take the lead by a considerable amount ending Q3 50-27.

It was back to business in Q4 though, after a team chat and little rejig of positions, Swan regained composure, became united and fought hard right till the end! Shutting down Jets attack and bringing that particular quarter to within 1 the goal difference, ending the game 38-62 to The Jets.
