Hampshire 2 v Transplus Tigers

Hants 2 faced Transplus Tigers this Sunday. It was a strong start to the first quarter with Hants 2 gaining a 4 goal lead in the first few minutes with some excellent shooting from Mich and Lucy. However Transplus Tigers pulled it back towards the end of the quarter finishing with a 2 goal lead, 14 - 12.

After some strong words from coach Nic at quarter time, we entered the second quarter with extra fight and determination. Some amazing interceptions, along with the conversion of these meant we won the second quarter with 14 goals to their 10, bringing the score to 26 - 24 to us.

We entered the third quarter with the same positivity, however found ourselves being pushed a bit wide down the court. We also found ourselves rushing and needed to take a bit more time to compose ourselves. This led to us finishing the third quarter drawing at 34 - 34.

The fight and want to win was really great to see in the final quarter. The communication was so much better, a key thing we have been working on. And our patience including using the reset option was excellent. However the Tigers really tightened up their game, and we didn't capitalise on some of the turnovers made. We ended the game 1 goal down at a score of 45 - 46. It was such a  close game and it was really good to see all the things we have been working on in training being implemented.
