Hampshire 2 v Complete Netball Academy

We started the first quarter well with some very tight marking. Unfortunately, CN Academy made continuing turn overs, ending the first quarter with a score of 13-3. In the second quarter, positions were shuffled and we played with our heads up, fighting for turn overs. There were some fab interceptions all across the court and the team worked really well together. The score of the second quarter was 3-8 to us! The third quarter was much more evenly matched with good patience down the court and successfully getting the ball to the shooters. The defence upped their pressure as the CN shooters rarely missed. The score of the third quarter was 11-8 to CN. The final quarter started disastrously for player coach Nic, who had contributed fabulously as WA throughout the game, as she suffered a serious injury to her ankle. Despite worry about Nic, the team started off the fourth quarter with determination and it was very evenly matched. In the middle of the last quarter, CN scored four in a row, sending their confidence sky high. The end score was 37-24 to CN. We all played excellently and everyone should be very proud.
