First off we all played an amazing game, performance and score wise improved massively compared to the last time we played them! The first quarter we came out strong with everyone showing great pressure on and off the ball all the way down the court. Because of this strong start defensively we got many turnovers and managed to get a 7-3 lead. In the second quarter Meon came back stronger against us and kept the score close but we kept our heads and made sure to keep applying the defensive pressure we had been working on in training. By half time it was 13-12 to Meon so still a close game. In the third quarter Meon started strong with 6 consecutive goals which only made us work even harder and utilise all the opportunities we had. We had some great shooting and again continued to work hard defensively all throughout the court. By the end of the third quarter it was 17-27. In the final quarter we tried out new combinations to see how they would work and it went really well with everyone picking off tips and interceptions. Once we secured the ball we took our time through the middle of the court to ensure there was safety in our passes to keep possession. Overall we played amazing and our work from training really showed in our game play and we kept playing our game throughout. Well done team! The game ended with a score of 24-39 to Meon.
