Swan Pearls vs Bs 4.12.21

Match Report: 4th December

Last weekend, Swan Pearls played against B’s determined to win after an early season defeat.

With nearly a full squad, We got off to a strong 6-0 start with the whole team playing well together. The mid field and defence were turning over a lot of ball with the attack capitalising at the other end, with 75% of turnovers going to goal, a great improvement from last match. At the end of the quarter the score was 17-12 to Swan.

In the second quarter, we continued to put pressure on the ball with play flowing from the centre passes to the goal with almost perfect shooting stats. The defence persistently hassled their players to gain even more interceptions, tips and rebounds to help extend our lead. The score at half time was 32-19 to Swan.

Although in the third quarter we were beginning to tire and make errors, our team still persevered. Despite our defence being consistent, our tiredness meant we found it hard to move the ball through the court into the circle but we still persevered to maintain our lead. The score at the end of the third quarter was 41-29 to Swan.

With fresh legs in the fourth quarter, we battled against B’s who were starting to fight back. However, it was too late as Swan fought hard with the speed in the mid court allowing us to win comfortably by 7 goals. The Final score was 50-43 to Swan. Well done to the whole team who showed determination and sportsmanship throughout!
