Great fightback in 3rd Qtr but lose out to Trinity

The game today was a well contested and close match played in a great spirit.
The day did not start so well with Grace unfortunately injuring her ankle during the warm up and being sidelined for the game. However, this setback did not stop the team pulling together and we started off well with some good play from defence to attack leaving us a little behind 8 – 11 down at the end of the first Quarter.
We started the 2nd Qtr out strong but we were up against a tall defensive pairing and needed to adjust our style of play to our strengths and fell behind finishing the first half 14 – 21 down.
Making some positionally changes in attack to combat the strong opposition defensive unit and some great work in the defence and mid court we won the 3rd Qtr 10 – 7 to leave us 24 – 28 down going into the final Qtr.
We went into the final quarter with a determination and a smile and with a positive attitude. However, Trinity proved too strong and moved ahead with a run of 5 goals in a row but it didn’t stop us fighting for the ball and sadly it wasn’t enough to catch them and the Final Score was 32 – 40.
The team played well and all contributed to a great game.
