Swan Pearl start their season with a win!

Well, what can I say...an amazing start to the season. It was an absolute pleasure watching each and every player on the court. Our warm up was focused which in turn prepared the team for the start of the game. We then lined up pumped and ready to play.

Tongham Thunder didn't know what had hit them when we went up 6-0 in the first quarter, a lead we held to the end of the quarter, winning it 14-7. Some changes were made mid court and we exchanged goals for much of the second quarter, occasionally allowing Tongham to score off our centre, but then scoring from their next centre. At half time the score stood at 21-16 to Swan. The third quarter was our most dominant with a 15-5 scoreline with our shooting pair missing only one goal between them. In the final quarter we stayed strong with some awesome defensive work and slick passing through the mid court with the final score being 49 - 29. More importantly the performance was strong against a good senior side.

The match was played in good spirit and we were complimented by the umpires, spectators and other people who were watching.

Well done to Ella - voted players player by Pearls and Tongham. A new Swan mascot is on its way!
