Wimborne Tournament

Topaz were all in fine form, keen and eager to play their best. The first 2 games both resulted in a 10-2 win and spirits were high. The third game we knew would be a tough one, as we had previously lost to Peeks in the Poole tournament and at half time the girls were 2 goals down, but for the second half there were a couple of amazing interceptions, the noise level went up and the girls stayed strong and positive, eventually holding Peeks to an 8 all draw. Another 10-2 win in the 4th match, which meant in order to win the tournament we had to beat Wimborne A team. The first half started well with Swan leading by 3 goals, the second half saw Wimborne come out stronger closing the gap to just 1 but again Swan held their heads up and determination paid off, eventually winning 9-5.
What an amazing tournament, well organised and friendly with a lovely atmosphere, and Swan did brilliantly with Swan Coral U11, Swan Topaz U13 and Swan Rubies U14 all winning their respective age groups. Well done girls.
