Poole Tournament

Topaz, all arrived early and in good spirits. Leaving the parents to erect the gazebo, the team headed off to warm up. The first match against Wimborne's A team, resulted in a win 4-2, swiftly followed by another win against Peeks yellow 9-3. A draw followed this against a very strong Saffron Hawks 5-5. Topaz were on a high! Unfortunately the next 2 teams, Poole and Peeks blue were too strong for Topaz and these matches were both lost, 2-6 and 3-8. It didn't affect the team as they pulled back to secure another win, against Bournemouth 8-2. Then we discovered 2 teams from the Midlands, who were both extremely strong, Barr Beacon and Ryland(the eventual winners) and another 2 games were lost 1-6 and 1-7. The following game, Topaz went out fighting and didn't let the opponents get a look in, and poor Wimbourne Blues lost to Topaz by 7-0. The final game of a very long day also ended in a loss, 0-7 against TTNC Warriors from Devon, but every member of the team had a go playing against them and there were smiles all round, as a fun filled tiring day of netball came to an end. Lots to learn from and lots to be proud of.
