Convincing 26-0 win for Amethysts against Dreams Navy

On a blazing hot evening Amethysts took to the newly surfaced courts at the sports centre for a league match against a team we haven't played before - Dreams Navy. Being half term, it was a little tricky getting a team together but luckily we were joined by Tasha and Rhsyeren from the U10s, who blended seamlessly into the team. It soon became clear that we were the stronger side. By half time fine shooting from Izzy and Rhyseren had put Amethysts 12 goals ahead, while nothing was getting past Erin and Emily in defence. Jilly, who kindly stepped in to be our coach for the match, swapped positions around every quarter to give everyone a chance of some action, and to encourage the girls to really think about who they should be passing to and play a bit more strategically. Not that this had a negative impact on the scoreline. Jessica, Tash and Erin added to the goal tally in the third and fourth quarters, while superb defensive play from Holly, Sophie and Rhyseren denied Dreams any chances at all. Fantastic effort all round!
