Rubies played a stormer of a game against Weston Park Blades, beating them 43-24.
The girls looked dominant from the start, applying pressure to the Weston team in defence and winning lots of turnovers. Maddie and Niah caused big problems for the Weston shooters, reading the game well in the defensive circle.
Grace and Sophie played really well together in the circle, with shooting stats of 78% and 60% respectively. Freya, Claudia and Sarah fed some fantastic passes into the circle and Daisy provided excellent support to the attacking third and was an important link in mid-court. Freya also did some awesome interceptions at centre.
In the final quarter, all the girls showed grit and maturity. Despite being really tired, they maintained possession and played sensible netball, ensuring the win.
Well done girls!
A massive thanks to Mia who stepped in as a reserve at the last minute after other players became unavailable.
