Swan U19s Qualify in Style by winning 11 from 11 games at Regional Qualifiers

Swan U19s took part in the Netball South Regional qualifiers on September 2nd, a hot sunny day that made the players shine. Some outstanding Defence from Jade and Eleanor combined with some accurate shooting from Tarlya and Hannah K gave the U19s some impressive wins. Mid court were calm and composed led by Amy and Darcey. All players took part in the day with some awesome performances on some very tight games by all. With 7 games in the morning and needing to qualify in the top 5 in our group the U19s did this in style by winning all 6 games.
The afternoon got hotter and we needed 13 points to secure a top 8 place out of the 10 teams. We WON all 5 games gaining 25 points and topped the leader board in FIRST place. One very proud coach Sonja, led the squad to 11wins from 11 games. The U19s will now represent the club and help develop players to meet their potential. One injury was sustained on the day and we hope Ollie recovers from her ankle sprain swiftly.
The U19 qualifying squad led by: Captain Eleanor Medlock,Vice Capt Amy Fripp, Jade Peckham, Hannah Foden, Alice Wood, Ella Palethorpe, Darcey Spurge, Nancy Hudson, Emily Hammond, Ollie Borham,Hannah Kimber, Tarlya McHale. Four of these players will now play for our Senior South Region Team allowing development of our other U19s, Nicole Ralphs, Sasha Wells, Megan Mogridge, Chloe Everett and long squad players Zoe Henderson and Eloisa Morgan.
