A close match.

The first game of the season saw SR Swan come up against a youthful Eagles side. The game started off positively with Swan gaining turnovers with some fantastic defending by Jade Peckham. Through the court there were some lovely passages of play getting up to the attacking side in which Tarlya was able to hold off the defenders fairly easily. Swan looked good from the offset remaining calm and focused all the way through the court which resulted in Swan staying in the lead by 3 until half term. The game was played with great intensity and it could have easily gone either way, however with some unfortunate bad luck the result then went Eagles way. In the last 20 seconds Swan had possession to equal the score but were unable to get the attempt at goal in order for this to happen. Swan look forward to playing them in a home rematch after Christmas.
