All 4 teams were incredible and qualify for regional netball next year.

This weekend saw the Netball South Regional qualifying tournament taking place in High Wycombe for the 2018-19 leagues. We entered teams into all four age groups U19, U16, U14 and U13, with the older girls playing Saturday and the younger ones on Sunday.

The U19 played all the other teams in their age group, which meant 11 games of 12 minutes. They got off to a flying start winning their first 7 games. A draw against Eagles in game 8 saw us top of the table, with 3 to play. In the final 3 games we lost to a very strong Clan side (although we won the second half!), but won the other 2 ending the day winners of the tournament. This is the second year in a row the U19 have topped the group!

The format for the U16, U14 and U13 was slightly different, with 3 group stages.

The U16 had a little bit of a shaky start as a fairly new combination of players came together, coming 4th out of 5 in the first grouping of the day, with just one win out of 4 against CN Select. In the second grouping it all came together with them winning 4/4 games against CN Select, Fareham Fireflies, Woodley and Royals. In the final round they had to come first or second to qualify for Div 1. They lost the first match to CD Phoenix 11-7 , but beat Trinity 10-5, meaning that we needed a win against a strong MK Dons. It was a sterling effort (cheered on by the U19) but they couldn't quite make the win so qualified for Division 2.

The U13 and U14 took to the court on Sunday in VERY hot and sunny conditions.

The U14 lost their first 3 games, but they were very close tough games. They had an excellent match against Dreams losing by just 2 goals, and the girls played amazingly well despite the heat. They finished qualifying for Division 2.

The U13 started well with a win against MK Netters and Bucks Phoenix and a loss to NRG and Panthers but picking up a point. Unfortunately Immie had a nasty fall and didn't play again (thankfully nothing serious). In the second grouping they had a win against CN Select and made it through to the final stages. with 3 games against MK Dons (win) and Matrix (loss) and it all came down to a final game against Rushmoor. Which they won! They qualified for Division 1 in second place overall.

An awesome Swan perfomance!
