Swan 2 vs Transplus Tigers

This fixture was a well contested game for hants 2 against transplus tigers with one of our highest scores of the season. We started the game off strong and at our own pace, taking particular patience in attack with a new combination playing for the first time. Our defence applied a lot of pressure in the shooting circle forcing changes from transplus tigers into the second quarter.
The conditions of the hall in hamble were difficult with little air circulation meaning a few of our players switched positions. With only 8 players on the day this meant trying out new combinations but we showed brilliant patience, reaction to the game and perseverance to push through to goal and force a lot of turnovers.
Transplus tigers shooting combination in the remainder of the game proved difficult to break but our defence were extremely strong with Lucy at WD and putting a lot of vocal pressure in their attacking end and Issy, Nic and Lisa getting a lot of tips and rebounds.
Isabella's shooting was outstanding with barely missing any shots, Hannah overcame dehydration due to court conditions and was a strong WA with excellent feeds into the circle. Jenny was the backbone of the team in the C position with fantastic encouragement throughout the game and brilliant feeds into the circle and great defence around the circle edge.

Despite the score and missing a few key players on Saturday, hants 2 should be extremely proud of their performance. We showed how far we have come as a team and how all of our hard work in training is paying off. A massive well done to everyone!
