Swan 2 vs Transplus Tigers

Hants 2 had a strong defensive game against Transplus Tigers. In the first quarter the team worked hard to get the ball to our shooters, Matha and Issy, who were not missing the net. All the hard work from training at feeding the ball was paying off.
The team headed into the second quarter determined to not let the tigers increase their lead. Lots of interceptions by defence and patient play up court meant that they only increased their lead by one.
The very physical tigers managed to rattle us a little in the third quarter. However due to Kate’s and Lucy defence of their strong shooters we still kept turning the ball. Hannah had some great flying interceptions and Issy and Hayley fed the shooters beautifully. The girls managed to hold the tigers to an 8 goal difference.
Heading in to the last quarter we knew we had to fight hard to reduce the tigers lead and come back. Unfortunately both teams started making lots of unforced errors and we let the tigers increase their lead.
The whole team worked hard producing some great netball, each match we grow stronger as a team. The hard work Nic puts into coaching us and the team put in at training is really paying off. Hard to believe we have only played together for 10 weeks!
